A brilliant first PsyRAS annual event was enjoyed last week by existing and new members.
Our morning speakers were David Rhys Jones, on the recent proposed changes to legal aid and the impact they will have on our clients and others supporting them (or trying to!) and Stuart Turner, on the use and importance of empirical research to understand what is going on in refugee status decision making.
After a sandwich lunch on the beautiful lawns of the Barts campus, we were encouraged to think more widely about the contexts in which we work, and the discourses on which we draw by both Rachel Morley (pictured!) and Frank Lowe.
Attendees travelled from near and far, and we welcomed new and potential members to our happy throng.
thanks to Kate & Ken, without whom…
